Yes. Android is easy to use, the app store has thousands of free apps and games, they have good cameras in them, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS (Google Navigation is superb, and works from Google Maps) - all the toys, and not much in the way of hassle.
Get yourself an HTC Desire HD, which has a nice big screen and the latest HTC Sense application package, and get an in-car charger and dashboard mount for it, and you'll never need a TomTom or the cars' built-in SatNav unit.

Re: Email....how do you get yours??
but what about an iphone, i used a 2g model of a friends a few years back and found it quite good, is the new one as good or better than an android phone
Re: Email....how do you get yours??
I run my own mail servers and use a mix of Alpine, Thunderbird and Seamonkey mail clients to read it over IMAP4 depending on where I am... A few things also get automatically forwarded to a separate account I monitor from my phone (iphone 3gs, ios 3.x)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
