yea i know a few blokes thats had it done and they pretty much say the same you can feel tugging from deep inside and a nauseating feeling in the pit of your stomach but no pain, but you must rest afterwards or you'll split/strain something.
Must earn you brownie points tho so she will hopefully feel obliged to look after you.
oh and i dont know how old your kids are but might be best to warn them 'to stay away from daddies plums' for awhile.
A young child jumping on your lap wouldnt be good

I wouldn't misquote you like that, Bailesy, (but there's some as would). :supafrisk:

thansk for the replies. well at 31 i am deffo haivng it done! i should have had it done 4 weeks ago but the snow stopped the surgeon getting to the appt. i just asked my doctor to be referred and he 'councilled' me about it. he just asked if i was sure basically! went to the referral appt and they booked me in there and then after more questioning.

regarding female steralisation, i believe its a general anesthetic and added risks associated with that, so me being done is the easier option i feel.

Maybe there's a new Government bulletin out there advising to 'do' as many men they can (to cut down on future financial burden) :o

Good luck anyway Lurchy, I'm sure you know it's the right thing for you so ignore the others - you'll be fine.

i was reading on wikipedia about the snip, i assume you mean a vasectomy. They can be reversed it says, so its not that overly bad.

After my third child was born 9 years ago I had it done and can honestly say it was a doddle, watched it from start to finish, chatting to the nurse and didn't feel a thing. The bloke that came out before me however looked like someone had ripped his off with a pair of pliers so I guess everyone is different.
As my ex didn't drive I caught the bus home afterwards and walked the last half mile home, back at work building car seats for Rovers the next day.

I also had the reversal op about 4 years ago and was a bit Buster Gonad for a few days but no major probs to speak of, caught the train home from nottingham to Telford after that :cheesy:

They do say with reversals the longer you wait the less chance of it working but the fact I'll be picking my 2 1/2 year old up from nursery after work tells you it can be done.

One warning to any guys thinking you can spread your wild (low fat) oats I worked with a guy who had it done and it repaired itself several years later!!!, luckily it was his wife he got pregnant but it did come as a big shock to both of them.

Wow, there speaks the man who knows for sure 8)

It'd take 2 nurses with me, one to hold my massive member out of the way and the other to sort out the vegetables

I've been contemplating it myself with our third child just born, but my wife is thinking of a hysterectomy because of her endometriosis so I'm holding off as long as I can!!!
Best of luck lurchy, a few of my mates have had the op and they said it was a complete doddle.
