I drive to work at about 06:30 so I heard them start this challenge on Weds morning, I was surprised to hear them still there this morning. They are allowed 10? minute power naps though in bed at certain intervals :?

I didn't know Chris did the show standing up either :o

I used to love Radio 2 especially Terry Wogan, then I liked listening to Sarah Kennedy (comforting like a nice family relative) but then they put Chris Evans on who I can't warm to. So I have been listening to Chris Moyles and kinda like their first half hour of chat on my way to work.

Independent radio like Heart FM seem to only have two records to play.... Madonna and Lionel Richie

Really? a lot of people have said that too. I kinda took her for how she was, perhaps a bit dizzy and self-opinionated but I didn't mind her really (might have been the fact that I listened to her half asleep) she used to 'go on' a bit about her cats or some holiday trip and the story was never really earth-shattering but I found her harmless and sort of familier :|

£1.8 million - incredible amount of money raised - and they're still going! 50 hours into the broadcast, and their voices sound like they've been swallowing cheese graters.

hear hear.

Miss Mark and Lard. Cotton is an airhead.

As mentioned earlier, 9-10 Golden Hour is usually great for the older tunes, as is occasionally the 5-5.45 Wonder Years.

Other than that, in Belfast Feile FM play 90s hits from about 8am onwards on a Friday.

The other commercial stations have irritating DJs that love the sound of their own voice and WONT JUST PLAY THE MUSIC. Snodden, Maurice Jay, Mark Lima - I'm looking at you

Fair play to Moyles though, world record this morning and over £1m raised.

Carolyn Stewart on U105 is the best for that, who are you talking to woman, she asks questions and seems to get a response out of the silence.
Frank Mitchell is another presenter who talks too much.
Then you havent got onto the tyrone station Q101.2 all you get is endless adverts for home heating oil.

She's on about lunchtime isn't she? Flick through sometimes plays the odd good tune but like you say the rest is just chit chat.

Mitchell can kind of be excused as he is a phone-in show, almost trying to be a non-offensive Nolan. His weather watchers riddles are non-excusable though. Very obscure, for example "Last time this place was referenced it was overgrown!" Answer - Eden (village just outside Carrickfergus).

Any time out driving, local stations like Q101.2 seem to have loads of adverts for local nightclubs and the like.

The only talk show i listen to is Gerry anderson, quite a lot of people find him a bit too much, but i think his show is great. 2 callers actually had an argument with eachother on it, gerry and shaun were left speechless for a few minuites.
The Hugo Duncan show then it is one to be missed at all costs. horse it into ya cynthia.

Back to the Mainland, the best reception of any station is always classic FM why is that, all other stations might be a bit fuzzy but classic fm always sounds perfect.

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.
