Sanding takes a few seconds really. Just buff the plastic (or metal, if you decide to paint body panels) gently with wet-and-dry paper -- making sure that the paper is VERY WET, so bring a bucket! -- until it's really smooth.
I like the bumper job - that looks great, but I can't help but agree that the red interior details looks tacky. Then again I guess your typical 406 owner likes the blandness, I mean um, "sophistication" ;) of the standard 406 interior. Can't fault the quality of the job though - well done
Great idea with the rub bars on the bumpers have just done mine managed to do mine whilst still on the car masked the body work off and the chrome insert on the strip sprayed away.

The bumpers are nice, but the red just looks w@nk. Now if it was silver like some of the newer cars are today, then it would have looked so much better, but that red is shite.
