My old Xantia did that every few seconds, cured with a new accumulator sphere.
It should only tick every 20 seconds or so.

Nothing rides like a freshly sphered big Citroen.

Even Rolls Royce used spheres for a while in the Silver Shadow.

& Bentley. Was watching The Garage (with the arrogant Scotsman in Spain) the other night & they fitted some to the rear of a Bentley & they even had the Citroen logo on the spheres. My old Xantia was a bit bumpy, but I've never found a car yet that could handle our speed bumps as well as my old C5 did. If only de-fapping was so easy back then, I probably would have held onto that for a lot longer than I did.

Nice one Disco! Should be good. Methinks I'll look out for one of these in a few years time.

It sounds lovely, and good stuff getting the top spec then you wont look at a blanked off switch and think i wonder what thats for, i wish you luck.
bi turbo sounds ok maserati called a car 'bi turbo' it sounds good, its only when you remove turbo would it sound odd.
there is the 2.7hdi offered with the c5, i think its about 240bhp but then the fuel econonmy takes a dive, not good in the current economic climate.

waue1978 - Bumpy big Citroens could be caused by needing all spheres replaced, or if it was the early hyractive system, it would default into "sport" mode if an error occured. Simple replace / wiring redirect.

So people will buy them?

Too expensive / space consuming, I guess.

the avantage of the spheres were that they took up less interior space, thats why the bx was so huge.
it would be nice as an option on the c4.

The GS was the last "small" Citroen that had spheres.
I think the C4 Picasso has them at the rear as did the Peugeot 405 Mi16x4.

It was a shame that the ZX didn't, but it was still quite soft. Probably set up a little softer than the 306 sister car.

I think the problem is that people think "oh no! It's different" and avoid it. That's why the new C5 base models have steel springs.

It's a shame because they really do give an amazing ride, like a Jaaag :)
Also, with the Activa system, I've been in a Xantia with it doing crazy speed and it keeps level
Uncanny, and a bit of a melt to the system, like reverse-seasickness.

Renewing them is as easy as changing 4 oil filters.
I'd rather be renewing spheres in half an hour, then trying to change the shocks on all corners of a steel-sprung car
