It's always a tough balancing act. I help run both a Nissan Micra and Nissan Almera forum, both have very different rules for selling.

The Micra club requires users to at least pay £1.50 for 30 days seller access (or they can opt to go for a fully fledged paid membership with stickers and the like). But the reason for this course of action was down to a lot of shysters ripping off our members and vanishing, so the £1.50 membership via PayPal which requires a postal address to be specified allows us to keep track on anyone selling stuff.

The Almera club however, is a bit of a free-for-all and anyone can post items for sale, which does generate more moderator work, but tends to be a bit more popular with the members. I've seen more dodgy people on there though!

Talk Photography requires minimum one month membership and 100 posts before you can use the classified adverts section.

The 407 owners club requires a £10 membership fee to access the technical forum.

BTW, James....I've been a Nissan mechanic since 1974, if you need any help just ask.
