Maybe its on the later ones that are vin coded, im not 100%

that vag-com stuff is tricky, have you seen some of the stuff you can do with it, :P

its good for activating global-closing etc and other stuff,

got it to stay off lozz. unplugged the dashboard airbag about 50 times and its cleaned the 2 pins inside.
connected battery back up. loaded vagcom and cleared code and job done. no airbag fault light.
lets hope it stays off untill it sells :cheesy:

thats abit high,
Must be your postcode mate making it high or something
iknow a few people with Golfs and Boras and theyve been Mapped and Declared to insurer, and theyre paying less than £650

Personaly, ilike golfs, the bora more, but iwouidnt have one for the same reason as you. Insurance is just too expensive,

thats a hefty price for insurance, my uncles golf is only about £400 a year, although its only a red I, TDI i think 100bhp but still fairly quick, his car has a problem with the engine management light or exhaust light coming on now and then.

he actually doesnt know how to use a computer, but i would be interested in one of these there is that problem with my uncles golf, and a cousin of mine has an A6 with an airbag light on at the moment. £7 would hardly break the bank.

nope and its very simple to use as well. i figured it from scratch in an hour or so..

for one you wont ever need to pay a garage the fee to diagnose the car. this does exactly the same... for a £7 lead and a free program

it even resets the code once the fault is fixed.. with VWs the engine management light wont go out unless you reset it..

would it be as good on a vw as the pp2000 is on a peugeot, which lets you change settings on the car and add extra functions/equipment?
