Ive just got a funny feeling about car buying at the moment,
irekon come christmas, or just after, prices are going to fall badly,

idont fancy buying something for £2k and then ending up with something worth peanuts if iget bored with it,
iget bored with cars, dont know why,

at the moment this picasso ive got as took the p*ss for what ive paid for it icouid of bought 2 of the same last year,
and the Repairs so far cost of parts ive spent as made a car that wouid of been worth £700 last year treble,

i wished i kept the old 406 now,

would it be correct in saying summer things like caravans, boats, convertables will be best bought at this time of the year when the weather is miserable and their owners dont like them as much and just want rid of them, i seen an mx5 on gumtree last week for £500.

Ithink so yes,

You can pick some nice convertables up for pennys during the winter,
same with caravans, as many people pay Storage fees for them,

My mate as just sold his caravan cheap as the storage fee was £15 a week, mounts up by the end of the year,
and then theres the thought of having something sat there that couid go up in smoke,

Afew years ago caravan where worth feck all through the winter, ive bought a few in the past, stripped them and weighd them in, The chassis are good for making car trailers,

car trailers is a about all they are good for, some of the materials used in caravans is a bit crap, chipwood is the main issue, the caravan gets a leak damp gets in and the whole thing turns into a musty smelling flop. Or at least every one my cousins had did that, the only good one was the vw camper which didnt have any chipwood.

Trouble is theres not enough vents in them,
the caravan we had iput a few vents in, cupboard areas and under the cusion areas,
once they get damp there fubard, the wood inthem is as thin as balsa wood inplaces,

the best vans are what the travelling comunity have, them nice big shiny aluminum ones,
ibet theyre not cheap to buy,

Why do people do this? I mean offering a price over e-mail or phone without looking at the car

Looks as good as any other Golf in the pics, I'm sure someone will snap it up.

its very annoying. i know people always want some cash off as so do i when buying something,

but to get offered £1500 on pre-loved when the asking price is £2495  is insulting

my response to that offer was "you wont buy a 1999plate golf for that much so good luck"

Ah preloved.

tis abit of a joke on there sometimes,
when iwas selling the celica, iput an add on there, £375 ovno, yep pennys,
got some 'guy sending me a Text message, Hi mate, will you take £175 cash for it, iwill be up in half an hour to collect it,

obviouslty itold him to feck off but ididnt see the harm in him having a go at getting it given to him
these Free advertising sites are comon place for atracting absolute jokers,

back to topic Re: golf,
whats its Book value,?

im sure ive seen them go through auction and theyve raised £2,800 -£2,900 etc simalar year,

id have alook at the book price.
ithink what car gives out estimates,

and put the book value on your adds,
it might stop people offering you daft money for the car, (Just an idea)

also, Radcliffe car auctions is good for selling cars fast with no fuss,
they tell you the rough price it will reach, and set Reserve, altho there is auction fees,

less hastle than selling it private tho,
