nope

it has to illuminate to showing it's testing the system and go out to prove it's all ok

removing bulbs, or covering with tape won't work anymore i'm afraid

Think i'd be looking to weld something over the existing pipe to create the impression of their being a cat as opposed to fitting one back on

Although my mate was trying to get me to look at 110 in Coventry, so 15 mins down the road
2003 Executive Estate with tan leather needed a little tlc for 700 notes, but it's a wankamatic
Maybe on a V6, but wouldn't want one on a 110

ithink what people are doing is buying a cat,

splicing it in 2 and welding it round the pipe (dummy cat)

ive got plenty of cats in my Garage if you ever need one,

You might struggle there, they've got one in each downpipe, plus at least one more.....
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

The ES9J4 (194bhp) only has one cat
The ES9J4S (210bhp) has two pre-cats on the downpipes and then a further cat or two
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

I thought it was illegal to put a cat in a bin

Seriously, they're full of precious metals and such so I don't think they'll end up in a wheely bin (unlike Tiddles here)
