Strangely the insurance for me is £400+ cheaper,
thats going off the Merecats using mother n laws postcode,

i noticed alot of idiots in essex whilst iwas down there, some of the things the local chavs do is amusing.
seen one idiot drive straight through an arcade on a 50cc Mo-ped,
they must be bored :lol:

WOW £1600 for water, That makes norn iron a wee bit better they talked about water charging but it never happened.
Though diesel it isn't cheap here either £1.45 i seen it at a place, although the normal filling stations are around £1.37

About essex, when i was in england we were in essex (the part near stanstead airport with the big fields of barley) all country roads and i was amazed by how orderly the traffic was on these back roads, everyone stuck to the 40mph speed limit, over here the country roads are like rally circuits.

ah, thatd be Uttlesford iirc, that couid be spelt wrong,
some places in essex are lovely,
The A roads are like driving on Hollow concrete, makes your car sound like the wheel bearings are fubard

theres one village there that made me turn away tho, Jaywick, it looks abit like home farm but a tad rougher looking
ithink theyve pulled it down now so ive heard,

colchester is lovely very expensive place tho so ifound out,
£2.50 for a cup of coffee :shock:

We went to look at some big tractor place near thaxtead, lovely countryside out there and the villages are very authentic, here we just have a load of newbuilds in villages.

But the roads were choppy and the insignia didn't help.

Yup we are on water meters
no choice as it was already here when we moved in,

never had a water bill this big its a joke,
considering we recycle all the rain water etc, from the gutters for cleaning the cars with etc,
makes me wonder, if someones running a pipe off our supply, :?
Jesus £1600 mine is 141.02 per year but I am not on a meter

£1600 is more than my uncle has to pay for the water on the farm, farmers get charged for water here :cry:

After a debate, weve refused to pay them £1,600
after some research seems, our house was split into 2 one half wa sold in the early 80s,
the waterpipe is feeding two properties,

dont know how this as worked out but it seems we are living in a old servants quarters whilst next doors have the part the snobs wouid of had, Bastids ave kept there mouths closed about the water pipe tho :shock:

does a man read the water meter or does the water company know how much water each house gets?

Aman comes out and reads the meter,
or hes sposed to,
the chap came a few weeks ago, "Err hello mate, wheres ya meta,
err which one,?

the water one,

err its in the road outside,
where ?

ask the council, theyve Tarmac d over it,

idont know where it is tbh, never seen it, :?

He started hamerin a chunk of tarmac out the path, ijust said carry on fella you will be there all day,
do you want me to get you 2 branches, divining rods?

he got in his van and fecd off.
idid try to help with the offer of 2 twigs :roll:
