Hm... Maybe air is getting into your hydraulics somehow? Or a vacuum pump playing games.

I asked the garage to take a quick look at the vibrations I've had with the steering wheel but they couldn't see anything wrong and said the wheel wasn't vibrating when they started the car. Sure enough, no vibrations when I got into it as well. Seems to do it more when parked uphill and the engine pushes back against the bulkhead... dunno.

The clutch is slipping slightly in 4th and 5th when booting it in "remap mode". The air con condenser is leaking stuff... but the air con still seems to be working. Cam belt is due a change soon (last done at 76k 2 years ago - now at 125k). Expensive times ahead.

Well I needed new pads anyway, and I've never been happy with the slightly spongy, vague feeling from the pedals.

Braided hoses are supposed to firm the pedal up by eliminating (or at least greatly reducing) the swelling of the rubber brake hose, which reduces the amount of pressure transferred from your foot to the pistons on the calipers.

What I reckon is that Murphy's Law has kicked in and the ABS system has decided to sh*t itself immediately after these uprated components have been fitted. Either that, or the mechanics who fitted these parts has broken something ABS-related while removing/refitting the brake parts.
