Or should I get a day off and go to my surgery?
you should start with your gp and work should be fine with it mate, problem is getting an appointment that suits your day to day routine around work.

Dont leave nothing out when you go to your gp.... hope it's nothing but you cant be to careful i know that all to well.

It's the same at my wife and kids surgery up here you have to phone at 8.30am and hope they can fit you in... they obviously dont give a flying fuk if your phoning at that time as a result of having to take a day off to join their poxy lottery... pisses you off dont it. :x

My advice would be then work, next time the symptons arise then go to hospital after work. Explain to them - could be a case of a few hours sat around. But you need to get checked out mate.

Also take it that you might need to alter your lifestyle and get a better level of fitness, you would feel better for it in yourself!

You've put this off for far too long Sam!

Oh, and if the NHS docs start telling you they can't find anything wrong, don't accept that as gospel; persistence pays. My Mum practically had to self-diagnose her thyroid problems because the doctors didn't think there was a problem. She's had to become an expert on thyroid conditions.

Bless them, the doctors do help and get you sorted out, but sometimes you need to nudge them in the right direction.

Then I won't be able to see him till the 26th June.

And sometime within the next 2-3 weeks I have to have an ultrasound on my testicles

Was kind of hoping he'd give me a note saying light duties in work or something, but theres no part of my job thats light duties.

One of mine is about the size of my first (not kidding) but the doctor says it's very smooth so unlikley to be anything serious. He thinks it's a Hydrocele or something.
