Ive spent a few hours with my lad,
hes looking alot better, swelling is going down and hes opend his affected eye,
something that iwas worried about,
the burns on his chest are healing so there taking the dressings off tomorow,
but leaving the dressings on his face,

Hes looking at me now when hes talking,as before he wouid look at the wall, thats another thing iwas worried about
so im glad there, its been like a knife in the stomache for me that,

the wifes, words of the day, Take it easy, my reply was are you f*cking real

there having a doctors meeting tomorow, so iwill get a rough time/date estimate for when he will be alowed home
so that will sort of give me something to go off, at the minute theyve told me absoulty nothing ,

ithink they was expecting the mrs to pass on the info to me but thats abig fail :?

That sounds like very good news :) I guess they're leaving the dressings on his face to minimise the chance of scarring but if they're talking about discharging him he must be doing very well.

I'm not sure if the looking at you thing means he thought he'd done something wrong or he somehow blamed you, either way it is a good sign too.

I don't know what to say about your wife, perhaps you need to be all smiles for him once he gets out but he'll probably see right through that anyway.

My son is home now,
hes slowly getting back to normality,

his face is still bad,but 70times better than it was, couid take up to 5-6mths before it will heal properly,

im glad hes home, the doctors over here are nothing but a shower of shite, if it wasnt for the doctor there whos from overseas (poland)
he wouidnt be home now, he certainly put our medical staff to shame,

Thanks all, 8)

@trem,No dates as of yet, as per recovery,
at present its a case of 3-4 appts aweek to the burns unit, Theyre on the look out for any infections setting in,
if so,they have to re-addmit him and start over again,

35miles each way, and upto a tenner a throw for parking, it aint good but im just pleased hes home,

took him out for the first time tonight,Mc donalds, had to give one woman an earful,

My reply was, if your so interested in whats happend to his face why dont you ask instead of stirring and muttering under your breath,
typical chavvy young age mother with a tribe of kids that dont know anybetter,
but ive had a gut ful of this shower of shyte we live amongst, wont be long before im arested by the plod for these fuckers

I'm so sorry to hear about this Lozz, I'm glad your son is on the mend.
I get so paranoid when our two year old comes bumbling into the kitchen when the stove is on the go; thank gawd the boys are old enough to understand the danger now.
All the best mate.

yea summer would/will be worse, it took my son about 18 month to 2 year for the redness to go fully, so be prepared for it to take a long time. Be strong for him(hard at times) but its what he needs

Cheers teamy,

tbh, id try that but, ive been strictly told not to use anything on it other than what they tell me,
My hands are tied there,

hes got skin grafts on his face, of what are made from pigs, sounds discusting but on a child of 6 iguess its better than them shaving skin off him from
other areas,

ididnt get asked about the grafts they just did it, icouid have them up in court but im not like that, but iguess one day itl happen on religion basis's

The grafts dry out bit by bit and itrim them, he wont have them long, there just like a plaster ,
