My mums micra was a 1.0 50mpg all the time, it was the only petrol car that was as cheap to run as the diesel 106.

What do you think of the fake mk2 jag micras, its some japanese thing called the mitsuoka viewt:

I like it in a strange sort of way, it looks like an old jag, only the back door frames and windscreen angle give it away, it would be a bit of fun.

But as you say it and the figaro (i think nissan made the figaro themselves) were cheap a few years back but now demand has put their price up.

I'm struggling to work out which bits of that are about the car and which bits are about the Chinese bird

Another Micra question' sorry..

Right er, getting a bad clunk from drivers side front
Had a look and got a bar in there, to check where the play is,

There's about 4 mm play in the ball joint,
It don't look like the ball joint is removable.. :?

Are they pressed in, was thinking of pressing it out with the vice and old socket
Or heat it up and smash it out..

Is it possible or do indeed to buy complete w/b

Thanks in advance..

Never replaced a ball joint on any Micra, never heard of one wearing out.....only replaced one track rod end on a Micra in all my years.

Check with factors if the ball joint comes seperate.

Cheers.
I will order a complete wishbone
It looks like I will have to cut the Anti-roll bar link off, it looks dodgey.

The ball joint looks like its been badly seperated in the past.

The parts arnt too expensive so its not too bad,

Found another hole in one of the inner-rear arches so I cut the full arch out and welded fresh metal in.

Hopefully she will get another few month out of it.. mother n law is getting a brand new Micra
So she's giving her old 03 reg one to her, its got weird starting problem if its pointing down hill on a cold day it won't start
Its had the same fault since brand new.. Nissan dealers had it back loads of times and never found the problem, :?

Mrs still wants it and her plan is to weigh this old one in, told her to keep this oldone as its reliable but
She won't listen, :frown:

My old neighbour had a Micra that wouldn't start if you left it outside at night  it had to always be tucked up in the garage otherwise it wouldn't go, it was like it for years  I didn't like them so never offered any help

If I was a betting man I'd say it was a cracked distributor cap or something HT related?

And there lies the real reason behind all the welding... More weight.

We ran our old "Noddy" aww bless (N plate 1.0) for two years and all i done in that time was change the n/s/f drop link, it was brilliant on fuel and souped up with all the mod cons like sunroof, rear spoiler and a tow bar  Front and back

It was battered to f*ck but the mrs loved it... the donky i sold it to bunged it on ebay for spares 3 months later because it failed the MOT on o/s/f drop link.
