We've got a couple of those mini-fridges (like for kids bedrooms) and they work well with the 12V travel adapter.plod wrote:I'm ok with the heat, just keeps turning my broccoli I eat twice a day - drive for a living so no fridge to stick it in till consumption time

In the Midlands it's forecast cloudy Sat/Sun with reduced daytime temps but back on the full-monty hot next week (when I'm back at workscotty73 wrote:Don't worry Monday will soon be here... Time for a shower.robb wrote:Getting a bit fed up with this heat

Will it work twice as well on 24V?Welly wrote:We've got a couple of those mini-fridges (like for kids bedrooms) and they work well with the 12V travel adapter.plod wrote:I'm ok with the heat, just keeps turning my broccoli I eat twice a day - drive for a living so no fridge to stick it in till consumption time

It's a good idea, I've got a refrigerated cool box, which is a fair size and works well too, (got a few freezing cold tinnies to the south of France last year).

2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

24v Should warm the pasties up nicely if you have one with a warm function too.Doggy wrote:Will it work twice as well on 24V?Welly wrote:We've got a couple of those mini-fridges (like for kids bedrooms) and they work well with the 12V travel adapter.plod wrote:I'm ok with the heat, just keeps turning my broccoli I eat twice a day - drive for a living so no fridge to stick it in till consumption time

Doggy i got one of those 12v /240v cool boxes and found that if you pre cool it (like you mentioned in the pugfest thread) it can keep things frozen for a weekend on colder weekends but i found last week that with it being left in my awning unless you find a shady spot it'll struggle to keep your pop cold... Not a fault of the box it's just that farking hot.

Those ones like Welly posted are brilliant for drinks I'm surprised Plod don't have something like that being a driver.

Keep it plugged into the car - you just need to remember to fire up the engine every half hour to fend off 'Economy Mode'.scotty73 wrote:Doggy i got one of those 12v /240v cool boxes and found that if you pre cool it (like you mentioned in the pugfest thread) it can keep things frozen for a weekend on colder weekends but i found last week that with it being left in my awning unless you find a shady spot it'll struggle to keep your pop cold... Lets see, 130 kW diesel engine, driving 150A alternator, feeding cool box = cold beer.

Re: The Temperature
I'll have a look for a cool box, but need one that will work on 12v in the tranny and 24v in the lorry

Re: The Temperature
Remember about 3 weeks ago when it was still that freezing cold, wet, icy, miserable, everlasting winter? I swore then that, if the sun ever came out, and I heard people whinging about the heat, I'd have to bitch slap them, so be careful folks!
Yeah it's a bit sweaty and can be uncomfortable but I love it. Much rather this than cold and wet!
