Place clingfilm over your mirrors at night time - stop the little bugger from making webs - they'll soon hate it there and will move to pastures new.

WD40 in round the back of the mirror glass seems to keep them away, spiders scare the living sh*t out of me

The other night i had an itch but ignored it, i went to the bathroom a while later to brush my teeth, looked in the mirror and there was a massive spider walking up my neck, odd noises were made and a shirt lost all its buttons during the reaction to this sight.

I got loads of pics of various creepy-crawlies. I''d better link them to stop fp breaking his 406 office chair :cheesy:

Taken in GB before I left (I suspect this is GB's equivalent of the funnel web)

How about a wasp spider? Taken in the garden here a few years back.

Count the hairs

While I've got no problems with most c-cs, fp's reaction to a spider on his neck reminds me of when I found a hornet crawling up my leg - by the time my wife came to see what all the shouting was about I'd already jumped up & down, shaken it off and carried on jumping up & down on it. I then cut it in half with scissors and finally flushed it down the bog. Then most spiders don't have the ability to give you excruciating pain/make your flesh rot/give you a crash course in being a stiff.

Spiders I dislike, but at least our domestic ones don't really bother me.

2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

That made me chuckle...

OMG - those photos of spiders, why oh why did I look at them?!

I HATE spiders... little ones that stay there I can deal with, big ones - no!

Must admit I always have webs and spiders on both mirrors too, even though mine are not heated.
Do you estate owners also find your rear wiper also gets covered?
I live within a mile range of an RAF base and find my car gets covered in dust regularly so maybe the dust attracts them more?

I will get the pressure washer out and sort the little tinkers out..........

And in the next instalment of The French Connector, Sonia, the "dunno what I'm doing but I'll have a go" heroine asks "why have my electric mirrors stopped working?" with electrifying consequences.
