Mixture of motorway and town driving.
So let me get this straight....
Peugeot use a 2.0 litre 16v diesel, beef it up to 140 bhp, make it comply with ridiculous new emission regulations and put it in a reasonably large and heavy car and the result is ' 63 mpg '
Hats off to Peugeot
John, it looks like you have got yourself a really decent motor - even the same colour as the old 407....
Yeah, thanks, it seems like a very good car so far.
Lost the electric folding mirrors, but got side repeaters in the door mirrors.
As for the fuel consumption, we'll have a more accurate check with my wife having her normal commute next week.I went off the fuel gauge, mileage we did and how much we put in....starting tomorrow the car will get the same mileage and use as the 407 had for most of our ownership.
The colour of the 508 is a genuine black, the 407 was less of a black than this one...more like charcoal.
The guys I know at the dealers tell me there has never been a recall on the 508s and they rarely see them in for repair.
