Just out of curiosity, were you caught by a traffic police man or normal police man? or a police man standing at the side of the road with a gun?

If its traffic cop, your pritty much buggered. if its the plod at the side of the road, you could of asked him to show you that the gun is calibrated. if he cant show you that its calibrated, and how to calibrate it, then he can not issue a ticket.

Also if its just a normal police man in a car and not traffic police then his speed-o isn't even calibrated, the only police to have a calibrated speed-o is traffic police (usually have a bright luminous jacket on)

shame if its a gun, as asking them to show you its calibrated is a sure fire way of getting of a ticket, or at least letting them know that you know the law.

all the guns have to have a calibration certificate, if they can't produce a valid one at your request then you can walk. not sure how often they have to calibrate them, may be every 24 hours, serach on internet will tell you thou
