Put some nice alloys on, some Bluey Bling and a Welton panel on. Sorted :D
Yeah, i'll be leaving most of it standard and doing nothing to the mechanics at all.

What size are the standard wheels on these btw?
15"

But she'll suite 16 or 17 just nicely. Multispokes seems to sit best with the design. As in more that 5 spokes.
I've seen a 406 with 40 spoke alloys... nice!

See mine :arrowu: . That's a D9, it's Peugeot's code for the mark 2 406, produced from late 1999 'till they stopped making 406's in 2004. Easily distinguishable by the black mesh grill between the headlights.

D8 is the earlier model 406, the mark 1. These were produced between 1996 and 1999. You can easily recognise them by the body coloured slatted grille between the headlights.

Ably demonstrated here :arrowd: by our very own Mr. Earwig. D8 on our left, D9 on the right. :)

Gotta, it was just the odd use of 8 and 9 that threw me.

What is generally accepted to be the best looking?

Aw seee, you quoted me before I had chance to change that crappy picture  .

Don't ask which is best looking, you'll start a war   . I personally reckon the D9 has a much prettier front, but the back of the saloon is nicer on the D8's. They didn't change the back of the estate much between the 2 versions, and I personally reckon the estate is a better looking car than the saloon in either version, so my favorite of all is the D9 estate..... oh wait, that sounds familiar  8) .

Actually my true favorite of all is the pininfarina styled coupe, which is still one of the best looking cars of all time IMO, but hey, I've got kids.... One day though, one day...

Darren, I've told you before NOT to scare the newbies!! :x The poor lad's just bought a D9 are you come in clumping about with you size 12s and scare 7 shades of shyte out of him. Now apologise to the nice D9 owners, then go to the naughty corner!

Haha, i can imaging this battle has gone on for quite some time.

And if i were in an argument i would probably fall back on the 'mines newer' and 'the D9 is the improvement' arguments. :cheesy:

Fronting is illegal by the way.

So be careful that you aren't the main driver.
