I got my first 406 purely on the spur of the moment, I needed a bigger car as my wife was about to pop our second sprog!
When I lost it in the floods I wanted the same again but with all the bells and whistles! I'm happy with it, it's a very comfortable drive (to me) and it's got plenty of grunt. And I can fix it myself!!

Now see, my flaws consist of an occasional misfire (cured at last 
),a dodgy indicator switch, a tendancy to wear back tyres (that's down to me ) and an occasional refusal to engage cruise (clutch in, clutch out, sorted 
), nothing there ever makes me think that it's gonna blow up or fail to get me anywhere.
