Renault have been having lots of trouble with Megane electric windows, just got a 2006 one repaired under warranty, apparently, Renault have extended the warranty on these because of the faults.

If someone were to give (well I wouldn't pay for one!) me a brand new Renault, I'd still take it to bits and do up all the finger-tight bolts they found it too late in the morning to bother doing in the factory... you know, like the calliper bolts, the engine mount bolts, the cylinder head bolts....

I considered, and I'm not joking, a Renault 'Vel Satis' instead of the Volvo but I was scared of the big V6 diesel going wrong and also the depreciation. The Vel is regarded as supremely comfortable

Mjb's view of Renault's is probably somewhat overshadowed by an unfortunate incident with a flip-me-up bonnet I think?
Cars in my care:

2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work

Rang Renault, and to get it repaired costs around 350 notes about 250 of that is the part alone (motor and regulator). RenaultUK are going to pay 70% of the bill  leaving me to pay about 70 quid.

Pretty chuffed considering my Migraine is nearly 7 years old.

That was my 406s

My view of Renaults was tainted by a Laguna that practically fell apart due to not being bolted together properly. Also it couldn't be driven up any sort of hill, even in first gear...
