We were talking about this last night and potentially we have 4 x active TV's that will no longer work :o

We have a Digital Ariel so will there be some kind of adapter doo-dad to convert the new signal back to old?

I can watch SKY through all the TV's but only one channel at a time :frown:

You'd need a Freeview set-top box for each television. They're pretty cheap though, you can get them for about £15 to £30 a pop from your local ASDA.

the best freeview boxes are the ones built into the tv, or if it must be external anything that isnt an alba because the remote isnt responsive on them. I have a sagem set top box and its been working great for 5 years now. But really there is no big advantage to freeview its still all repeats, especially dave.

It's Free.

Also think about a Freeview recorder instead of box - ours was £60 in Asda.

Yeah, sorry, got it beginning of November. I would of done a new thread but for some unknown reason i cant upload pics to photobucket :x

To cut a long story short its a 26000 mile Black 56 plate 207 GT with the 1.6 turbo petrol engine (same one as in the Mini cooper S). I went to look at it at JCT600 Pug dealer in Hull for a day out, it was advertised at £6750 and they offered me £2000 for the Megane, i laughed and walked out the showroom. 2 weeks later they rang asking if i was still interested, i said maybe depending on the deal. Anyway a few more phone calls from them later it was mine for £6000 :cheesy:

you can all send your old TVs over here when you replace em,they dont have such things as free view here

it caused no end of problems for us when we got here as the TVs we brought from the UK only one still had an analogue tuner built in the other is digital only,

since then we have had cable TV at home now so the 37" HD Toshiba Regza can be used properly, its just a shame its all in bleeding Polish

Ooo, nice one Tooty about the motah. I think there can be some good deals at these dealers - I got my Volvo at a very good price compared to buying Private.

That 1.6T in the Mini makes some nice noises (my wife's mate has one) - it's about the only nice noise she makes

Yours might be a bit suppressed in the 207 but it would sound sweet with a sports eggsauce and sports CAT 8)

What sort of fuel economy are you getting?

(secretly wants to convert everyone back to petrol :P )

They used to be supercharged but the fuel economy and emissions weren't too hot so they went for a Turbo and, I think, direct injection?.

This friend of ours actually had a supercharged Cooper S beforehand and I happened upon a chance to have a nosey under the bonnet........Bejesus, what a bloody mess, the words Shoe and Horn sprang to mind and the supercharger piping looked impossibly tight and restrictive.......still, when did the mechanicals of a Bini ever put anyone off buying one

Oh yeah it has some really good noises coming from it that any 17 year old boy racer would be proud of. ZZzzzzzzzzzzzz tiiiiissssssssshhhhhhh 8) The 1.6T was co developed with BMW and is also cam chain driven which is nice.

I couldn't wait to get back to petrol, diesel is so boring :supafrisk: It feels good to be back were i belong in a hot hatch, i love em. Soon as have some spare time i'll see if i can sort out some photos.

Oh economy wise since i got it about 800 miles ago the average is 32mpg. Ive seen it at 38mpg on a long run, i dont think it will crack 40mpg if im honest (well not with me driving it anyway) :cheesy:
