My HDi fuel flap didn't lock, and flapped about in the wind. If it had a FAP it would have emptied in about 10 seconds.

I get a warning about the fuel flap but not the fuel cap.

So is the consensus 2.2 HDi ?

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Looking at 2.2 petrol and 2.2 HDi only in a coupe, but also keeping aneye out for a 2.0 or 2.2 HDi Saloon Executive (2001 onwards)

They all exist to be bought at circa £1100, but you need to be quick and bargain hard ;)

Aarrghh! The Volvo sold this morning to the first person to come see it. Now I really need to find a coupe!

I just need to find a way to see one in Leeds, one in Newcastle, and one in Peterborough

Does anyone live near Leeds or Peterborough/Spalding?? I'd happily swap beer tokens for someone's time to run an eye over the 2 good ones :)

I'm not really close enough to my monitor to give them a good look over but:

#1 - do they mean black as in Silver & Black limited edition?

#4 & #5 seem to be the same car

1 - I need to check about the model with the dealer. If it is a 2002 2.2 petrol, could it just be an S model? It has half leather seats and I think S&B wheels

4/5 - They look like the same car, but one is in Chester and the other Lincolnshire

Not my first choice, but at this price range I can hardly be too picky ;)

It is indeed a Silver & Black Special Edition. Sits somewhere between the S and SE, meaning:

- it has manually-adjusted half-leather seats (whereas the S has manually-adjusted cloth only, and the SE has motorized heated full-leather seats)
- the JBL speaker system (the S just has normal Harman speakers found in the saloon/estate, and no amp - the SE has the same as the S&B)
- no headlamp washers (the SE has these, but the S doesn't)

In terms of colour, the S&B only come in Silver (which is only very slightly different from the Satellite Grey found on almost half of all Coupes ever made) or in Black (which is only very slightly different than Granite Black, a colour which appears on both S and SE Coupes as well).

If I couldn't get an SE, I'd definitely prefer an S&B to an S, but personally I prefer them in Black than in Silver.

1. Looks nice

2. More expensive because it's an HDi & an SE

3. Wouldn't bother with as it's a Cat C

4. Can't see a pic, but details seem ok.

5. I'm a little suspicious as to why a 52 plate coupe would be a part ex to clear when his other listings show older stock as normal stock. Possible that with the short MOT (October) he's had it checked over & found something expensive.

No, the guy who bought it never turned up to complete the sale. It's still available :)

The Leeds one looks to be first choice, with this one second.

I have someone going to look at the Leeds one tomorrow. Apparently they do not have a service book, but do have the recent receipts for cambelt, aux belt, waterpump, new key, new clutch, and 4 new Continental tyres. They will service it before it is sold, and replace the back box which is blowing. Still sounds ok to me at that price
