Sedan would be a 2 door surely?

I don't think they did. I liked the sedan, sold well in the Republic. But it was always a 4 door.

Think that 2 door is a 4 door conversion using a 3 door sidepanel.

It works well I think in a Seat Cordoba kind of way, especially if it had a less vulgar bodykit on it.

Why wouldn't it be safe? How do you think bodyshops replace rear quaters after an accident?

wont it always be a weaker point, in an accident it could crumple instead of the front?

Standard part is only sport welded together. Providing it's done correctly it will be stronger if anything.

That's awesome. Well, it would be if it was a bit more tasteful! It's rare to see a car where the rear quarters are nearly interchangeable over different body styles!

Brand new quarters aint cheap though! http://www.crashrepairparts.com/parts/p ... 3?_ts=2809

Thats why you buy a sedan and a 3dr and make one car out of the two bits and sell the rest :)

hehehe :) A 2 door Rover 214 conversion!

I agree with Bailes1992 though, it is safe. The other half had similar done to her fiesta when the side got attacked by a bollard, and it was fixed perfectly.

So long as the chassis isn't welded in two and a new section added by amateurs, the side panelling is little different than adding new doors.

That black 3 door would look good if they put a rear bumper on it and don't ruin it with bodykits!

If it had an XUDT lump that hadn't been ruined by Magherafelt residents, I would be tempted myself!

if you did that, would it be much harder to weld in a transmission tunnel and make it back wheel drive :cheesy:
