But I stuck with my trusty 406. I know it will get me where I want to go, when I want to. I certainly got one of the good ones

I don't know if you have it in your D9 handbook, but in my D8 one it says if the engine keeps running after ignition shutdown then I should put it in first gear, press the brake and let go of the clutch to stall it... found that extremely weird!!! But I assumed it referred to the older 1.9L TD model with mechanical injection as I assumed the 2.1L with its "semi electronic" one (anyone know what this actually means??) would stop as soon as the electrics got cut.... hmmmmmWelton wrote:My engine 'runs on' a little when I turn it off, sometimes more than others and it sounds really clanky when shutting down, I would say it runs on for around 2 seconds after turning the key off finishing off with a massive thud as the cylinders stop going up and down.
They mean stall the engine in an emergency if it won't shut down.Captain Jack wrote:I don't know if you have it in your D9 handbook, but in my D8 one it says if the engine keeps running after ignition shutdown then I should put it in first gear, press the brake and let go of the clutch to stall it... found that extremely weird!!!
