Lozz got a good example with fleet history.

The other halfs dad swore on his mk1 diesel until the steering went and put him into a ditch on the other side of the road

And when we were talking punts, I thought Ireland had left the euro.

i would ask myself
its only 500 pounds, you know the car and its history, its got tax and mot,you check it overand happy, you can afford it, you need it.then go for it .
you be able to scrap it for about 200 so its not going to be a big loss if it goes wrong.

Might be a bit better MPG than your 2.1, certainly my Xantia 1.8 got about 40mpg on a good run, close to the 90bhp HDi 406 around town.

Tbh @ 500 quid idont think its alot of money for what it is.

the Estate /tourers a worth slightly more than the Hatch back and seem to sell better,
so idont think you wouid have problems selling it if you got fed up with it,

if its sat on 17" alloys you can get 4 -500 quid for them alone

ive just bought a set of untidy ones for refurb, they cost me 350 with no tyres off a breaker,

If you look at Car prices the lag is picking its feet up, there not as cheap as they once was,
the Mk1s are going for 5-600 or even more,

Congratulations :cheesy: The cover and crap tray stuff might just be there way of saying they couldn't get to anything...

So what's the deal with the magic trees then, is it a fail if you don't have any??

Btw the Toytractor's got it's MOT (or local equivalent) on the 20th, it's wallet emptying time again! :(
