I can conker, the board's still cattle trucked. It's taken me ages to clear the backlog in the moderation queue this morning and I'm getting time outs and server errors left, right and centre :(

All running ok this morning, the site is hosted in the US so it may be a problem with the routing.
According to the hosts status logs there is a network upgrade going on as of the 20th Sept but with people having problems from the 17th Sept onwards.

Our problems seemed to start on about the 15th, which is why I didn't think that that particular problem was our problem. I guess we'll see what happens when they've finished the upgrade...

Right, back on topic  Just watched it now and really enjoyed it. Would have liked to see the ending played out a lil longer but I'm just a sick f*ck.

Chances are some other site on the shared hosting provider is spanking either the webserver, or more likely the DB server. It's quite difficult to get MySQL to take an age inserting data on a regular basis, and in this use case has no relation to table size, so deleting old stuff will make no difference.

I deal with multi-TB MySQL instances at work (with individual tables in the 100s of GB), so I'm intimately familiar with the damn thing...
