If petrol didn't cost THAT much I would come behind you in case you broke down and if you did, tow you there. [Wouldn't of been any issues if I had got the diesel that I wanted......] Jasper5 is an excellent mechanic, with a long time in the trade as it were, he's highly recommended and the best person for the job definitely.rwb wrote:Best case scenario: it is the clutch but it holds out till Sunday.
Knowing my luck, this is unlikely.
Bad case (1): It fails on the motorway on Sunday.
Bad case (2): It fails this week down here. In this case it's scrap.
I'll keep you posted... and drive very gently.
Me, a clutch?

I know my limits and boundaries and I know no where near enough about engines and gear boxes to even attempt such a job...

Good luck for THIS Sunday I believe?

Maybe you should go via a route with plenty of forum helpers along the way

So IF you break down then you can call upon the then more local-ist person to come help you

Totally made that word up
