Oh yes! The solara had 165/R13s, the same size as my dad's '63 humber sceptre. Had a fiat uno that had 135/R13s  . Reckon my first car on 14's was the mundano, and 15s was the current pug. The Wife's '07 fucus has 16s as sandard

Hey - I've just noticed Dai's Tallbutt said "5-SPEED" on the back

Remember when fuel injection came out? all the manufacturers were plastering the cars with "i" or "injection" all over, some had "Rabbit Injection" - something to do with Vets?

my last car ( 1995 fiesta zetec ) was very basic , no power steering , keep fit windows , no central locking , cassette player with just 2 speakers  , no aircon , and wot i thought was very basic and aint seen for a long time was that the instrument panel wanst back lit like all other cars ( it had 2 bulbs in front of them lighting them up ) . on the plus side it did have a removable ( leaky ) sunroof and a rev counter ( but that was only fitted to the zetec engine model and not the 1.4 or diesel ) .
even my discovery got more toys than that one did :cheesy:
i know it dont sound THAT basic but iv always gone for the top of the range models with all the toys ( 405 Mi16 's + exec , 406 exec , 309 grd turbo , 205 Gti ) .
just dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians

My first car was a fiat uno 60DS that I inherited from my Dad. It was a good car, I could get it up to 96mph! (according to the rozzers that pulled me on the A3  )
No PAS, manual choke, manual windows, no radio, no central locking, no servo assisted anything
I remember the look on my Dad's face when I took a drill to the roof to fit an aerial for a stereo! :cheesy:
1996 406 1.8LX Got a bad case of hydro lock!
1996 406 Executive 2.0 Turbo XU10J2TE No longer hangin' on in there :(
1997 Honda CB500V
2003 Volvo V40 1.8 GDi SE killed by a nutter in a beemer 5 series
2008 Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Titanium X

bit of a mixed bag for me, 1st car was a 1993 Renault 5 which iirc had r/w/wipe as an optional extra and not even a clock.
I had a Cortina 1600E for a few years that had nothing (although quite a lot by 70's standards such as a rev counter!! and seat belts!), no servo brakes, a steering box instead of rack and pinion, sealed beam lamps, crummy 13in wheels.
Former 406 owner, now just another chav in a 306 D turbo!

Erm... maybe not. First car a 65 austin 1100 cost £100, then another 1100, then a 66 rover 2000 mk1, half share in a 3.6 jag mk2 (tears before bedtime on that one), 1300 austin gt (1275 gt mini engine) rust box, mini 850, vw beetle 1300, two vauxhall vivas, rover 213, vox nova, volvo 440 (renault engine), citroen BX16 (petrol), fiat punto, fiat uno, white citroen XM (2.1td) with alloys, BMW 525 tds se (e34) with bloody expensive metric alloys, 206, 206sw, 407 sw (not good, not good at all even more leccy faults than the XM!), 307sw and 406 hdi 90.

Maybe one or two I've forgotten... :?
52 HDI(90) 406 saloon. Sadly no longer owned, bless her she got near 200,000 miles and I had to sell her on, she was still going strong.
