have i worded it wrong.
ROI: Petrol costs more than diesel
NI: Diesel costs more than petrol

it seems theres a bit of a difference in the prices down there, so i took the liberty of filling my car when i was in monaghan.

Why is diesel more expensive than petrol in UK? Over in EU/Russia/USA it's cheaper (as it should be - cheaper to process than petrol)....
ye it stinks, diesel round here is 6p more than petrol a litre

but to be honest i think £1.30 a litre isnt that bad

if you think about the proccess it has to go through before getting to your local pump :)

I still talk in old money and realising £1.50 per litre equals £6.81 per gallon makes me feel quite ill.

Hopefully petrol will stay lower by some margin (thinking they will clobber the high use of diesel these days).

Maybe my move to petrol was smarter than I thought? :?

Yes it definitely stinks, seeing as I have just filled up my 2.0 Hdi in Tamines (in Belgium) for the equivalent of £1.02 per litre, as we are all in Europe, why no parity?

And they want us to use public transport (the worst and most expensive in Europe), No wait, rail is going up 5.6%!! I was quoted £67.00 for a single rail journey from Didcot to Dover, which in my 406, will pay for a return Dover/Dunkerque ferry and fuel to my place in Belgium!! Shafted all round, really!! :evil

Isn't diesel a by-product of refining to get petrol????
thus cheaper?

guess the movement towards diesel cars has made them up the price to increase profit

They have to find some way of robbing us, if everyone started driving electric cars they'd pile the tax on that instead.

The vat rise has caused pandemonium at my local morrisons, the 3 ways into the supermarket were blocked at 5 o,clock with traffic tailing back half a mile on each approach, no one could get into the store itself people were beeping their horns and swearing at each other, all for saving a few quid what pissed me off the most were the twots that blocked the ways into the store . :x bugger me I only went for some bread and coffee

My thought is that petrol is slightly cheaper in the Uk because, it's due to the fact that you get around 200 miles a tank from a diesel car more than the same petrol model?
Thus meaning to get the fuel station less over a year than a petrol model.

Am i right?
