the wee small room that holds the copper water tank, one actually does that the other which is the same size is used only for storing coats, and the hoover.

but the dictionary describes it better as:
"An enclosed storage space, typically with slatted shelving and built around a house's hot water system to generate a low dry heat, used to dry damp clothing."

Drawing room and the numbers of the rooms so ipresume they wouid of had a Maid Or Wench in the olden days,
ipress the bells to call the wench but nowt happens :(

Maybe they got bored in the olden days.
and had to build something, inotice the olde folk loved wood and everyting had to be mahogany :|

its abastard to paint over bet they didnt think about that tho as they had Lead paint then :(

its old, but old houses have so much more character, our house is just a bungalow, and watching grand designs or even compared to my grannys house its very conservative.
But big houses are expensive to heat that is a problem, though my grannys and uncles house runs off the same heat source as the 12 mushroom houses which is a wood chip boiler so its all eco friendly.

yup very true,

big houses are expensive,
this one takes around £70 -£80 aweek in electric
then theres the gas which is around £50 a week + more in winter,
iwas burning stuff in the coal fire to save on costs but it dont work out as coal is to expensive ,

ive been looking at geting a Arga and running it off bio fuel but icarnt find one as yet theyre like gold dust atm to get hold of, ifcan find one it will save me a fortune in heating costs,

woohoo thats expensive
whats the insulation like is there double glazing?

my mums house is easy to heat only she complained for a while about her room being cold thats because with the leak in the attic we dumped all the soggy glass wool. its amazing the difference it makes

but my grannys house is amazing at holding in heat they got a grant for the foam injection stuff and more roof insulation its really easy to heat and the heat is free its just the excess from the farm boiler, they havent paid for oil in 4 years.
