EVEN MORE!
- children in the cinema (crying, crisps being crunched with mouth wide open, rustling of bags, talking) - shutthefuckup
- the length of the advert breaks on some satellite TV channels
- the additional £10 a month Sky deems it necessary to charge you for HD, regardless how many channel packs you're subscribed to, and despite the fact that it literally costs them f*ck-all to give you the same content but in HD anyway
- hidden copy-protection software that is installed when you install a game on your PC - which invariably fucks up and either stops you from playing the game you paid for (grrrr) or knackers your Windows install completely (ARGH!) - yet causes no problem to people who download pirate copies of the software in the first place because the pirates are considerate enough to remove it for you (my solution: buy the game then download the cracked copy and play it instead; it's less hassle)
- proprietary USB cables (i.e. proper USB connector on one end, weird connector on the other) that are only useful when you can't find them, and which cost £50 to replace, and can't be used for any device other than the one it came with. USE A NORMAL f*cking USB CONNECTOR, grrrrrrrr!
- Jedward
- cage nuts (network/server people will know what I mean), especially cage nuts that are stiff and difficult to clip in or remove from racks. Once, I was trying to remove one, and my finger slipped off it and sliced itself open along metal frame of the rack - bled like a sonofabitch and I swore so much any passing sailors would have blushed
- financial terminology - i.e. words only used when dealing with pensions, investment, loans, mortgages, etc.
- bees, wasps, hornets, midges, and mosquitoes

Re: Things you hate
Not much annoys me to be honest but I do have an unexplained hatred of old people, I like old people who make an effort and dress smartly but craggy-faced stinky-arsed scruffy old people getting in my way as they stare blankly at the displayed goods in the shop without moving an inch I could cheerfully twat them over the head with a large Cucumber.
When you go to Spain and such the old people are very smart and proud but in the UK most of them are disgusting leeches on the state and DEMAND some sort of respect/recognition without offering anything in return.
Also since when did it become OK for old people to barge about in their mobility carts like the pavement is their own personal motorway

Re: Things you hate
To be fair:
Visit Italy, Spain etc. and the people are smartly dressed and proud. In the likes of Madrid you will see people out strolling at 10,11pm at night in their nice clothes, no fear of getting stabbed by some benefits grabbing chav scum.
People here in general are nasty and poorly dressed.Welly wrote:

Don't let me comment on Italians, please... you can moan as you like but you English are usually really nice chaps, very kind and tolerant in general. Very respectful. Yes maybe a little "with the head in a cardboard box" (meaning for some the things have to be in a certain way or it may seem to "original").sirwiggum wrote: Visit Italy, Spain etc. and the people are smartly dressed and proud. But the respect you pay to each others and for visitors is unmatched by mediterranean peoples.
For example I've been in London 2 weeks some years ago (didn't even get to go to the science museum sadly), and they all always stopped at zebras to let you pass. Buses, taxis, cars, bikes, all of them. Now try to do that here and you'll die in 10 minutes time. You have to gain the right to get alive to the other side.

That's because you can, and often will, get nicked (arrested) for it in the UK. It's probably the same in Italy as it is in Croatia - the law says you have to stop but nobody gives a toss, not even the police. A pedestrian crossing here seems to be a common place to meet your maker. I mostly stop but sometimes the pedestrians just stood there so I've got annoyed and driven off. It wasn't until I mentioned it to my wife I found out a common cause of being flattened is because a car's stopped to let someone across and they've been run over by a car overtaking the one that stopped. My wife nearly got flattened that way so she generally waits until there's NO cars coming, no matter how long it takes. Waste of time having them I reckon....and they all always stopped at zebras to let you pass. Buses, taxis, cars, bikes, all of them. Now try to do that here and you'll die in 10 minutes time. You have to gain the right to get alive to the other side.
It's probably a bad idea to get me going on Croatian drivers
