Their commonest problems are aggression and spraying
Oops  Hopefully he'll calm down a bit once he grows up a little and gets accustomed to being handled, our youngest cat was a bit of a tooth and claw monster when he was a kitten but he's quite a nice cat now (even better now he's had the air rifle pellet removed :frown: )

Must have heard it in the wall. Ours had another mouse a couple of days back, three of them were playing mouseball with it under the table. I tried to catch it but it ran up behind a radiator, so there I was kneeling down and prodding up behind the radiator with a fly swat when I spotted it sitting on top the radiator watching me. I managed to get it outside but they brought it straight back inside so it got fly swatted. And then they were all lined up on the counter waiting to be fed

At least they don't make holes in the walls

Nothing directly relevant to add, but I can never resist any reference to cats. My wife and I live with five of them.

In summer I use the back of my 1997 1.9TD as a conservatory or sun-room, since it is so much brighter and warmer than our stone-walled Cornish cottage. (This is one of my excuses for running such a big car; at 5' 1" I cannot claim much need for leg-room, but I do like a bit of space.) I settle myself on the back seat with a book, a bottle of beer and, if I am lucky, a cat. Charles, a black neutered male whom we took in just over a year ago, lends himself delightfully to this scheme of things; he stretches out on the parcel-shelf, purring steadily and occasionally patting the back of my head in a friendly way. (The car still has the original sun-blind, so that I can keep the heat off him if need be.) I have attached my portrait of Charles, who is not nearly as fierce as he looks.

Cats do this kind of thing so very well.

Oliver Mundy.

Our last cat died last year after getting run down, she must have been about 11 years old, a grumpy wee sh*t but she was a persian so its to be expected, she bullied all the other nice cats away.
The problem with getting another cat is the fear of it running onto the road again, and if they are not neutered they dont take long to have a litter of kittens.

It's a sad fact of life that cats must cross roads, it's something in their nature. Even if you have miles of fields behind your house there's always something much more interesting on the other side of the road, they can't resist it :(
