Ya i bought it in Syd may 09. Pretty cool. Its about the loudest 4 cylinder i have ever heard!

I had to put stock springs on it 2 get it past rego but still pretty cool.

Im gradually fixing it up from the previous neglect, well like bigger rims and such

Awful wheels+suspension, but a great body colour :)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

wow sexy rims man ! are those 18 inches? what springs u got under it?(might give me an idea of how low mine will be) i'm getting 40mm lowering springs as soon as my paycheck comes in^^

also i like what u did with the foglights , is there anything bhind it to diffuese the air comming in?

my left foglight always burn's out so i'm going to take the units out and get some grill like you have!

Hmmm, 32 here.
But with the mind of a 12 year old.
So I think I may qualify for a reduction.

406BE,

I didnt do any of this, as i said before im fixing up the neglect from previous owners.

I dont know about the rims i have to get new ones as the otherside has severe rim rash,
Its not lowered anymore as it was illegally low but plan to lower it again but legally

the foglight holes arent meant to slow down the air as on the left hole a dodgy K&N Air filter is there sucking up all the air it can. thats going to as the previous owner bypassed and removed the origional air filter therefore i have no HEATER

first of all , jezez!

yeah , go back to an original airfilter . will save ya lots of probs .
the rims look like 17" to me , looking at the tire size on your pic!

did you know the last owner ? cant believe he neglected a 406 :o

yeah it seemd a tad low :p if ya still have the springs i might buy em off ya ! here in belguim its only illegal 1once a year :p when u have to take it to its yearly checkup
mate of mine is intrested in the rims

when your done with em ofcourse

I know he must of hated the car and its not like u can go to yor local 'stealers' (or more commonly known as the wreckers here)
and get replacement parts as the closest EUROPEAN wreckers 2 me is about an hour away and they only have 1 406! :( AND IM THERE BEST CUSTOMER

when i 'un'lowered it i realised how much damage was done 2 it, the wheel arches were falling apart and everything on the underside was scraped alot.
The springs were just stock, but cut

As u can c in the 2nd pic, the rims and especially the rear 1 are damaged alot but they are ROH i dont know if they make these ones anymore though but they still have this style.

yeah beige is pretty hard to find in general, because of the exec's bieng in black intior most of the time .

also thanks for the info on those rims , its goddamn hard to get peugeot rims here
problem is that peugeot has a high ET value
ford who has same width has a low one , meaning i would have to spend shitloads on spacers

cutting down stock springs is just dangerous :o
