I did a wee bit of Googlng and I came across this:


I'm pretty sure that's not how I counted it, the connectors are marked but it's tiny and my eye sight just aint that good, even with glasses. So, it looks like monkey boy here cocked up Never mind, I left plenty of slack on the wire in case there were any problems with the connector. It's too dark to do anything now but I know what I'm doing tomorrow morning

Although I'm not sure if that's the right way round - I kind of got confused with the earlier comments. Thinking about it, it would make more sense for the cruise to disengage before there's any chance of applying the brakes. Then again, perhaps the word "sense" doesn't come into it...

A bit weird having cruise on a manual, increasing the speed on an auto is a bit more leisurely as it takes a couple of seconds to kick down, this seems like full throttle from the word go. It all seems to function anyway, all the buttons do something and it drops out instantly if I touch the clutch or the brakes. Thank feck for that, I thought it was never going to work. Now all I have to do is modify the cowling, write a how to and get used to it being there and not try to use it to work the indicators

But first, it's lunchtime!

Yes it is a bit 'enthusiastic' - I've had wheelspin in 5th on a wet road before now, not to mention the aquaplanning brown trouser moment last winter.
I don't use cruise if there's any chance of standing water and tend to accelerate back up to speed before engaging warp drive nowadays

I did miss cruise, I must admit, especially when I drove to the Untidy Kingdom and back. I also miss an automatic gearbox but that's a whole different story.

Missing cruise I can entirely empathise with.
Missing an auto box, to me feels considerably less likely than missing a root canal filling without the anaesthetic.
Are you sure you're not just missing the mighty thrust of a good old Vaux/Opel C30SE, (which is still noteworthy, despite the slushmatic handicap)?
