All you need is grit, determination, dogged persistence, perseverance, endurance and you need to be resolute, unwavering, single minded, obsessive and opportunist. A healthy dose of being in the right place at the right time doesn't hurt either.
After all, we managed it.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
Certainly easy. Get some 1260 Galletto cables from Bay of e. Connect one end of the cable to a USB port, the other to the OBD2 port in the car, turn the ignition on but don't start the car, open the file in the program supplied with the cables, and press download button. 80 seconds later, you have a remapped car.
Simples. I'll upload the file when I find some space to upload it to..
I was thinking along the lines of over-loading the pump by running higher than usual pressures.
I have to ask, is this re-map file a proper re-map or does it just frigg up the HP pump to squirt more juice in all the time? also, this re-map must be the work of some person so won't they be a bit miffed at their work getting splashed all over the web?
You know, if I tried doing this I would be the only person left standing by the side of their car (in the rain for effect) with no ECU file, nothing, completely blank
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work
Will test the times out in a minute on the way to Bristol
By the way, I am not sure this remap is good for my car (my particular car). Already had a few "niggles" with it. On Sunday evening, when starting the car, a coolant light came one for a few seconds but hasn't reappeared since. And yesterday, accelerating from around 50mph in 5th at full blast, the car started to shake quite violently under load Wonder if something is on its way out...
