What about comfort though, does the focus have the comfy ride of the 406.
It's just as quiet, rides a little harsher but it's much more fun in the twisties
Oh and it might only be a 1.6 4cyl but my got it sounds lovely!

Im liking the old ford cortina, but if thats the ghia model why is there them curious arm exercise things on the doors. Still despite windy windows i wish dashboards looked like that with a slab of wood, and the features just drilled into them, makes adding extra gagues etc look like they were always there
I got an email from my aunt who is looking a car with this hyperlink: http://belfast.gumtree.com/belfast/87/66980087.html
apart from the fact its not a looker, and the plastics used inside are a bit low rent, how bad could it be, shes looking a cheap buy and run car, any good?
My mate had a Matiz, awesome car! Could keep up with my 406 till about 60ish and it was only a 1 litre! Was like a golf buggy

I know a few people who've had a Matiz and, as a conveyance to get you from A to B around town, they're.... "adequate", "fine" even. Cheap, economical, easy to drive, easy to park, there's even a little character there in an "awww bless it" kinda way. If my auntie (the one with a 1998 automatic micra) decided she wanted a Matiz I'd allow it

Righteo ill give her the all clear, that will be a trip for me then to bring her to the place and try and haggle down the price a bit. Mechanically ill assume its reliable since i have never heard anyhthing about them.
The Focus got 25mpg of town driving with a little bit of lead foot. I don't think thats too bad really?

My mate had a 54 plate one, was an ex curtosey/hire car for a local bodyshop. He ragged the life out of the thing and hit it's top speed along some long dual carrigeway around 2 times a day (on his way back and fore to bridgend) and all that went was the altenator and the clutch cable. Stupidly reliable!

25mpg is what our hilux does when its towing a trailer full of cattle, surely a focus can do more, or are you on about the momentary trip computer reading because they arent much to go by only filling up and driving till empty

No I filled up Sunday, done 66 miles, filled up again and got 11.92 litres in
Although I suspect somethings up slightly wiht the engine due to EML, also tyre pressure seem all over the place (Something to sort out tommorow). To be honest I used to get 30mpg out of the TD with the sort of driving I been doing in the Focus so not really that bad.

youll need to change your mpg thing in your signature. The worst i got was 42mpg. I find it hard to believe that golf bluemotion drivers actually get 70mpg, or prius drivers even get the mpg of a diesel.
