It's a really nice looking motor. Go test drive it and see what you think.

I really do like those wheels though; I reckon the 17in Challengers would suit the 406 Coupe very well...
I really have to make a decision that keeps my wallet happy too :|
Looking at the seats and stuff that really looks like a mini 406 to me
Suppose it's more of a 'young lads' car too

Hey, I got 6 months to choose. No rush, just like having cards on my table :)

I know I really want a 406 but right now I'm looking at this sort of thing...

The insurance is only £20 extra than my Focus, I got the HDi 110 with the interwarmer.
Half leather and climate control, I'l more than assume it having a trip computer.
And can't help feeling it will be a tad better on fuel than a 406 aswell?

Thoughts?
FAP equipped & by a lot of accounts, very shoddily built. Unfortunately I don't know enough people that own one to be able to judge for myself though. I actually looked at a few SWs before I bought the 406 & they aren't too bad to drive.

I've driven a 110 SW & it was brisk, but the owner was disappointed with the mpg, (40 ish with a 60-mile each way commute). They seem to have at least as many issues as 406's.

It will defo have a Com2000 and quite possibly a FAP too.

Does look smart tho......

HDi 110 406 does cost an extra £500 a year to insure though ;)

I know a few people who've had 307s and to be fair they've been a proper let down, everything from dodgy locks to total electrical failure at 70mph. Mind you there are lot of them on the roads so there must be a lot of people who think they're OK too. Don't think I'd have one though....

Sounds like you can - I did a de-FAP file for baurluvva on here, but he's had other issues and I don't know if he ever got it running.....

How easy it is to create a De-Fap map?

Is it the map you adjust, or something else on the ECU?
I don't want it to be remapped to find it looking for the FAP again

You just untick the DPF option in Ecusafe, load your existing map file in, save it again and Robert's your mother's brother. 8)
So you can de-FAP a modified file just as easily....
(The trick is getting a copy of Ecusafe).

Do you know where I can get a copy of ECU safe
What do I need to get the map on and off the ECU in the first place?

I imagine the Swedish developers would be delighted to sell you a copy, otherwise Google?

I've just seen the price of ECU Safe
500 euros for a DPF removal module, I imagine you have to buy the program ontop of that?
Where did you get it?

They're absolutely dreadful them 307s mate, seriously would rather consider getting shot in the toe than driving one of these. I don't think it'd ride as well as a 406, it doesn't have as much space inside and the boot is.. compared to a 406s quite frankly crap. They also don't go quicker than a 406 as far as I know. A mate of my dad's had a 307 SW(back in 2004/5 I think) for 9 months and I swear, it was like giving birth for him.. the bloody thing drew the life out of him. He ended up part-ex for an older C5 as far as I know.
