I can't watch the vid at work. Did the truck driver not see the car he was pushing along? Its crazy the way it happened in Jan and they're only doing something about it now

Re: A Good Reason for Not Driving a Small Car
This happened to my Uncle a life-long lorriest. He was queing in his lorry towards a lane closure and a small car 'nipped' in front of him to get ahead in the que just before the cones (all at crawling pace).
As he set off again in the lorry he pushed the little car and collected it sideways (as in that video) against the front of the lorry; only he didn't see, feel or hear a thing! and the power of the lorry just overcame the car. It was only about 50 feet later that someone allerted him from the roadworks. He had to get the irrate driver, and the police, to sit up in his cab to show that it was impossible to see the car when it slipped in front of him.
Funny, you'd think they'd be plumes of tyre smoke coming from the Clio's wheels but I suppose it was raining etc.

Yeah, no way he didn't know. It was investigated initially and got no where because of the classic his-word-against-hrs scenario, but with this new evidence it's been reopened and the trucker is sweating a bit by all accounts.eoin27 wrote:I can't watch the vid at work. Undoubtedly the car drivers fault, but the trucker was a brain dead idiot and deserves a few nights with Bubba.
