What travels around with you in your 406?

Post by Mastiff »

Being a proud owner of a 406 Estate 110 HDI this is what travels around in my boot!!

This lot would never fit in my Saph Cossie :cheesy:

My 10st 2 year old Bullmastiff and my 11 year old German Shepherd come with me almost everywhere when my boot is free from tools! As i'm in the building trade the boot is otherwise full of tools, some pretty weighty gear aswell.

Also my 2 girls..... I have 2 daughters, one of 11 years old and the other 12 years old....they are loving the comfort of a 406 Estate compared to my old van I used to have or my Saph Cossie that's dropped 50mm on Coilovers!

The wife....Well the car does not feel her weight as she is 5'2 and weighs just over 8st! She likes my 406 although she has a Lexus IS200 Sport......that thing makes me travel sick!

Me.... Bodybuilding for 14 years, 16st and 6ft and my 406 still pulls very well with all family in or my tools...... Great cars, would def' get another!

How does your 406 do in daily life, what does it carry and would you buy another?

As a rule the boot of mine is full of junk & child paraphernalia! Also a breaker bar which is being used to tap the starter motor into life at the moment
I'd definitely buy another one, probably an estate next time though!

Triangle (wiv "Peugeot" written on it 8)) , first aid kit (which I have to carry but I'm not trained to use), high viz jacket and set of bulbs. Oh, and polythene seat covers, radiator filler bottle thing, rope, ratchet straps, cable ties, tyre pump, spare oil, spare atf, one of the magnetic cordless strip work light thing, an old quilt (doubles as dog blanket and caught in a snowdrift don't want to freeze to death thing), umbrellas, bin bags, carrier bags etc. etc. etc. Mostly in a big canvas bag.

I managed to get all three golden retards in their yesterday too, it stinks now

A big extensible tyre iron (a carryover from my "low profile tyres" days - new tyre every few weeks  ), a footpump, half a container of diesel oil, various CDs.
