did my bit as a taxi driver for just over two years, that lot brings back some memorys

...........and the driver was trying to get a flyer in between jobs.

And as usual everything goes wrong, in my case the milk race (cycling) came through the town and caught me out on the wrong side of the river.

Never-the-less I got there half an hour late and a couple of pound richer.

Ummm... wot's a flyer???

We don't use terminology loike daat round 'ere

from the terminoligt i guess its a job "inbetwen" jobs and off the books so the fare goes in drivers back pocket.

Although it's not so common now, most drivers work for themselves.
