Well, yet again, I have problems with the mundano.
The engine has lost most of it's power and has a weird beeping noise when the engine's rev's drop, i.e. when feathering the throttle.
Another issue I came across was that the wheels were being driven, even though it was out of gear. I was able to stop them from moving, but it started moving again.
Anyone come across this?

Meh! When I get a few more pennies, I might end up coming back to Peugeot.

I've not been able to track it down, apparently it happens alot and there are 6 different pipes that it could be coming from.
I've felt the most common and i'm not 100% sure I know what i'm looking for lol

Stuff blowing out a hole in a pipe somewhere? No idea. It sounds like something at its resonant frequency to me but it could be a lot of things.
Was the wheel spinning thing when the gearbox was cold? The gears on the shafts are constantly engaged but not locked to the shaft, so if the oil is thick enough they can rotate the shaft. It's nothing unusual but you should be able to stop the wheel spinning with the sole of your boot or whatever applied to the tyre.

It had a fair amount of resistance to the wheel whilst it was spinning. It continued to spin after I let go.
Yeah it was a little cold, 4 degree's?

Re: Yet more problems with the ford...
I've had loads of these problems with Ford, there is a turbo pipe at the top left of the engine that usually splits underneath the pipe, I've changed loads of them...they are 30 odd quid from Ford and come with the metal pipe attached. (Assuming yours is diesel).
The wheels moving is perfectly normal.

A mechanic told me that fords seem to be very reliable cars up to the 100k mile mark then he gets plenty of buisness from ford owners.

Re: Yet more problems with the ford...
My last Ford I bought with 80k miles on it. Thought I might get 20k or so out of it. Managed to get about 5k and it went to the scrap yard, running on 3 cylinders and the filler that made up the wheelarches crumbling.
The other halfs Fiesta seems ok but has only 35k on it and already has had to have a new starter motor.
Needs me to service it, even the air filter has about 12 screws on it and the oil filter needs a contortionist to change it
and we thought Pugs were awkward?
