Has anyone noticed on gumtree how not has become popular in the titles of cars, for example i had a look for a 205 and found some dickhead had a 306 in the 205 section saying (peugeot 306 (NOT 205, leon, a4, etc) does anyone think this is annoying to have NOT slapped in the titles?

They do that sort of thing on evilbay, I just think if they're lying about that what else are they lying about?

its started on the bay, but good old gumtrees plagued with the nottists. All could be solved if the cars make and model could be entered in a drop down list manner. You dont go to go compare looking to get insurance on a peugeot 205 (NOT astra,honda,subaru,bora,306,golf) i know peugeot used to have strange trim levels but thats pushing it a bit far.

It's just a bloody con to make their listing come up when you're searching for something similar. Pain in the 'arris as they say

just for the sake of it i decided to do an email enquiry on one of these cars which was not a subaru, so i said 'are you absolutley sure that seat leon of yours isnt a subaru forester, do you frequently forget your car is that why you have used a few car names to be sure?' Now ill know what these sellers are at.

I doubt they'll understand, they'll respond with a poorly spelt and non existant grammar txt speak swear words.

yes seat is a car i cant take seriously, id choose a skoda over a seat if i had to choose, at least skodas arent hideous like the leon.
But i can agree who when searching for a well made subaru, with an inteligent 4wd system, and sturdy build quality would want some clapped out old seat. They dont understand as you say all you would get is: fuk aff baii its lefal right thoze allies lok class on it.
