Yip i found a bit of rust under the rear seat, must have happened due to the leaky door with no seal sheet. Heres the rust:
Ok its not exactly advanced corrosion, just a bit of surface rust, but ive scraped most of it away with a wire brush, what now, do i paint over it with something but what with, and does waxoyl come into the equation.

I'd get a load of that Kurust or other rust eating stuff, slap loads on then maybe some hamerite & paint the colour over the top. The more protection it has, the better.

is waxoyl the same as krust, will it do the job? Theres bits of metal that are now completley bare from my scraping.

no stuff will stop it, it will be back probably kurust and hammerite will help slow it down
cut it out weld a new peice of metal in is the proper way to get rid
rust will always return at sum point if you cover it up,

Waxoyl is more of a rust prevention for areas that haven't rusted (yet) whereas the Kurust is a remedy that can also be used as a primer.

to take out this panel would be nonsense, its not even penetrating down into the metal, ive heard of people solving rust issues before. I must highlight the lack of rust there is now i have sanded it down, even the surrounding area round the rust and there is none there. Id doubt everyone else on here would take an angle grinder to a piece of shiny metal because theres a chance of rust coming back.

any second opinions on the rust issue, isnt someone here an employee for an anti corrosion company?

the info i got was from the body shop who was painting the front end of my car
the drivers side front wing has SURFACE rust all around the wheel arch
the guy told me he can get rid of it and seal it but it WILL be back in the future because once rust starts its very hard to stop it
im only typing what a professional told me in person

and the way they did it in that link you posted is totally bolloks
no way could you buff the edges of the new paint like that to smooth it in
who are they kidding , the correct way is painting the whole wing and loosing the paint line around the sides were it cant be seen
