Don't think they are - but they were an easy target for take over given their on going profits - anyone checked www.theemergency.ie for a commentary on Irish politics?
Unfortunately Irish politics and economics were taken over by a gombeen elite, who sold off everything (gas, minerals, fishing rights, legal and economic sovereignty etc) whilst the rest of us naively busied ourselves whith enjoying life.
Bet you guys in the UK are glad now Maggie and Gordon Brown stood firm on joining the Euro and taking on the German master ...

I have no understanding how it works here in northern ireland, except there used to be a good price for stuff down south and we all went down there for cheap shopping and good value diesel, now it seems the other way round, the amount of southern reg cars on the motorways has increased quite steeply. And i can see why i was in donegal during the summer and a small can of coke cost 2 euros, where here it costs at the most 60p
