That's enough to buy an XUD 406
But hang on, I'd only be getting 45 MPG out of an XUD (from experience), so that takes it down to £300.
Does MPG go down for veg oil? Only £140 at 40 MPG.
What happens if I increase my MPG on normal diesel?
That Toyota thing saves me £280.
A
somewhat silly BMW saves £400 (extra-urban).
So what is the pick of 15 year old cars? Against a
318 or
325 a
406 looks very attractive.
How do you drop from £600 to £300 with 45mpg, are you currently getting 90mpg?
MPG can go down slightly, but not by much.
The BMW link is for a 320D, that will not run on Veg Oil, Bio would be ok tho.
A 325 TDS I have owned, and it does about 25mpg around town, and 42mpg on motorways.
Altho it has a Bosch Injection Pump, its 1 of the poorest, mine developed a leak and needed the seals replaced at a cost of £200 only weeks after using Veg.
8mths after having the seals done, the Injection Pump packed up completely, was gonna cost too much to fix, so car was scrapped.
XUD 1.9 TD is perfect on Veg. Check ebay, you can get cheap used Veg on there for prob under 30p litre, if not buy an IBC 1000 ltrs for £500 ish.
