K-SEAL
has any1 ever used this and would any1 recommend it ?
if my head gasket is going and this cheap option doesnt fix the water leak.
i will break the car down (keep most of the bits)
will either get a 2.1td or 110HDi. i will be a bit gutted tho if it is head gasket cuz i spent so much time and dosh on this one ..

Get a 2.1 Lump.
Stick the bosch off the 1.9TD on it along with the injectors and lines.
Drop it in your car.
Job done and you can still run veg oil?

Re: K-SEAL
to much work for me that sam
also i have 1/4 veg oil left in my car now. when the light comes on its being brimmed to the top with deisel
i'm stopping using veg because it doesnt run right, and any1 who says it does is telling porkies
the car doesnt start normal even when its upto temp. its always hunting. it does calm when warm but still hunts
so i'm going back to derv and staying on derv (unless it hits £2 a litre) then i will use veg oil untill the car drops

Re: K-SEAL
K seal, what a name. I love it, did you get one free with every rover. K series seal.
I used this on my fiat panda, the HG went on it, it was pissing out water like mad, but when i put it in it stopped instantly.
However what i also did was got shot of the car as quick as possible, i and my mechanic doubted it would last any longer than 6 months.
What symptons of HG failure do you have.

Re: K-SEAL
found the leak frank. i posted it in another post. in engine.
i bought the k-seal , came home, was shaking the bottle like mad ready to put it in and i spoted coolant under the thermostat housing.
turns out its seeping out from the thermostat so the seal on it must have gone.
new one ordered.

Re: K-SEAL
great news then a seal round the thermostat isnt hard to get.
I would also imagine that stuff to clog up the inside of your cars radiator.

Re: K-SEAL
K series were wild for it. Land Rover did sell an uprated HG kit for the Freelander though, anyone with a Rover/MG would be wise to pick one up.
Someone told me about the egg trick once.
1 egg in Radiator, the protein seals any cracks or broken seals.
Does it work, Urban myth, or extremely temporary repair?

Re: K-SEAL
i certainly wouldnt put an egg in the coolant no matter how cheap it is of a fix
would putting this K-SEAL in just for good measure be a good idea ?
or shall i leave it in my tool box for a day i really may need it.
