Glorious Weather

Post by sirwiggum »

Enjoy the summer now while it lasts!

Was out cruising in the Coupe (albeit not a 406), sunroof up, window down, blower (but not AC due to MPG :) ) autobox doing its thing, one handed steering and tunes on the stereo.

That's what it's all about :)

One hand on the steering wheel... They'll find a way, they always do.

It's suddenly back to "don't spend too long in the sun" weather here, two weeks ago I was scraping ice off the car and now it's into the 20s. Still, when it goes into the high 30s this would have felt like a nice cool day (i.e. I'd better make the most of it)

If anyone of a road enforcement persuasion is reading.

The above is a metaphor. Both hands on wheel at 2 and 10 o'clock at all times.

Into the 20s

True enough it was only a couple of months ago it was snow!

I remember it was -15 for days then it was 10 degrees and all the pipes burst and noone in N.Ireland had water.

i parked my car with the sunroof open, windows open protected by the wind deflectors and left the car in the heat, i stayed out of it because oddly for someone who complains so much about the cold once a nice day like that comes i feel really sh*t, ie really low on energy, until the afternoon comes, then im ok again.

My mums old street used to be that.

Then any time you went out to do anything on the car, they used to surround you and say WHATRE YOU DOIN? HERE MISTER YER CARS BROKE. etc.

That was a nicer day today, i had a nice drive in the car chugging about in a high gear and going slow with one hand on the wheel the other on the window sill.
I also painted some dash parts the silver colour of mine to get the old cassette back into the car.

Spent the afternnon, flatting the rear spoiler after having it primed last week, and then my mate painted it

Now i'm sitting here with sunburn
Wouldn't have credited it, but just goes to show how nice it was today

Supposed to be going to have it polished back up tomorrow, and think I need to be a bit more careful

Cleaned and Had a BBQ today. Think i PO'd the neighbours as it was smoking more than a VAG TDi and they had their washing out

Then went in and checked on my wee treble bet
- Vettel to qualify for pole
- Finians Rainbow for the 2.15 at Aintree

And then watched the national, 3rd bet on the treble was Ballabrigs.

£132 winnings, not bad for a £2 bet :)

Few beers :) Trying to install OSX on a netbook now. Exciting stuff!

Aye. Apple don't really allow it, however because it has been compiled against an Intel x86 processor, it is possible to download builds which will install on a lot of PCs.
Tried my AMD desktop upstairs but got nowhere, so made an ISO of the DVD and making a USB boot drive to install on the Acer Aspire One which will hopefulyl have better support.

Made the bet last night as i thought the sites today would have heavy traffic. Wanted a wee treble to make things interesting but wanted bets that would all happen today, so f1 qualifying and a dead cert in an earlier race sounded good.

Went E/W if it was on the nose would've doubled my winnings as they all placed 1st. Ack well
