Well, you could ask Captain Jack.....

The image of the D9 saloon is from Peugeot's official photography; I've definitely seen it on magazine adverts previously.

406s have been available in black from the outset.

I think the black ones look quite nice, but black shows scratches quite bad.
Although rhodes blue shows peeling lacquer quite bad.

Rhodes Blue, eh? What's your paint code FP? I want to add that, plus a photo of your car, to the Wiki's Saloon/Estate Paint page.

servicebox says:
AINT TYPE METALLIC PAINTWORK
BODY COLOUR KMP - PAINT RHODES BLUE

Its definaltey not china blue, even if you park beside china blue you wont notice until you take a part off and try and put it on the rhodes blue car, then you notice the difference.

KMWC Monaco / Paina blue was a lovely colour, but a nightmare to get a colour match on touch up paint :(

Cheers!

Err, do you have a closer-up photo of your car, where it's not wearing half a field :supafrisk:

Hmm, just happened to find a photo you took showing your paint code, and it's KMPD, with the "D" referring to "Pearlescent" rather than "Metallic", apparently... And according to the notes I took previously, KMPD is known as "Delft Blue"...

I wonder if they did what they did with Diablo Red, and called it "WICKED RED" on ServiceBox ...

MASSIVELY CONFUSED. Thanks Peugeot :cheesy:

There is something quietly sofisticated about a black car. Just so long as I don't have to keep it clean.

That's better! :)

Sure, rubbing out the plate is no sweat. It'll go on the 406 Wiki, which isn't tied into Wikipedia at all (just uses the same software).

Still, not sure whether to call it Delft Blue or Rhodes Blue. Bloody Peugeot and their silly paint code system. Hmm, maybe I'll add another column to the table and call it "a.k.a." :)

OK, your car is there now, sans plate. And the "a.k.a." column is also there.

Still looking for paint codes and photos of other 406s to go on the wiki.

Hmm, I guess I should be looking at doing saloon/estate interiors.

I did the Coupe interiors page too, but it's missing some bits. The Coupe pages are more likely to be accurate because there were comparatively few variations - the saloons and estates, on the other hand - you've got cloth/manual seats (of various colour/pattern and with/without arm rests), cloth/electric seats, half-leather electric seats, black/tan/cream leather electric seats...

Still, got to start somewhere I guess - if you have a good photo of your interior (concentrating on the front two seats - a bit like the photos in the Coupe Interiors page) then I will put them up there.
