Sunday Lunch Anyone?

Post by niz406 »

Just wondering if any Midlands based 406oc members fancy a pub sunday lunch one weekend?

We'd have to pick a central location commutable for everyone to make it fair, but who's game?

I could definitely make it in my slightly crumpled multicoloured daddy chariot! Just ignore the outside and listen to the ICE install!

No thats not what I meant... typical woman response !

Over here in my area, you usually get 406's with different colored boot lids and bonnets with taxi signs on the roof ! Not crumpled ! tut tut !

Send me the jaffa's I'm still waiting ! :D

An explanation is needed.....

"Crumpled" refers to the fact that I drove it into the back of an Escort van early one morning while my brain was still asleep in bed, and it now needs a new bonnet, bumper and grille as it's looking a little bit twisted up front!

"Multi-coloured" refers to the fact that the previous owner (my dad) managed to somehow dent the rear passenger side door in against a concrete bollard and I have replaced it with a door from a GLX, unfortunately in completely the wrong colour!

And "Daddy chariot" is what my friends affectionately call it, as in their humble opinion it's a car that is only suitable for middle aged dads, or fit female taxi drivers from Warwickshire.

Heh it's mostly the same colour, just appears to have more touch-up paint on it than original stuff. God knows what the last owner of the bonnet did with it... And it ain't exactly flat either :)

Still, it's a bit less f***ed than the one I had to replace - the catch on the body is dodgy and didn't close properly, leading to a slight accident at 70mph. Dented my roof where the aerial is mounted too :(

Hmmm... let's just say I'm definitely built for comfort, not speed!!!

Think along the lines of a night club bouncer who REALLY likes his pies

I'll talk about pies in here, and my meat and two veg in the razor thread!

Location wise I'm easy, as long as there's good food at the end of the journey I'm a happy man!!! Although Supa has got me seriously tempted with her cow wellington... :cheesy:
